Registered Nurses/ Licensed Vocational Nurses
Our skilled nurses play an integral role in a patient’s care, providing compassionate and thorough assessment of one’s needs. Their main task is to plan & organize treatment, asses and manage pain relief as comfortable as possible. They are key in providing instructions to family members or a skilled facility with regards to necessary care of the patient.
Social workers provide the emotional & psychological aspect of care. Primarily, their job is to find resource that is beneficial to our patient in terms of financial aid or protective services as well as help family cope with the illness. Bereavement support is also offered to loved ones.
Each patient & their families have different ways of dealing with the end-stages of life. We understand unique needs and traditions by providing a spiritual counselor of their choice. They will guide and assist in the passage life and understanding of death through the religion they identify with most.
Home Health Aide
To better serve our patients and family members, we provide Home Health Aides who can help in activities of daily living such as walking, bathing, dressing, eating or toileting.
Physical, Speech & Occupational Therapy
Our hospice has registered physical, occupational and speech therapists on our team to meet with patient’s individual needs. Physical therapy helps to improve movement and restore everyday living skills. Speech therapy provides vocabulary exercises to improve speaking skills and occupational therapy to restore the ability to perform basic tasks.
To experience the death of a loved one can result to immense stress, pain and anger. Our bereavement counseling offers emotional support to family members as they face life without their loved one. We help them get through holidays, anniversaries & special days by remembering to call or visit and share wonderful and inspirational stories. Our counselors have experienced the loss of a loved one, so support will come from someone who truly understands.
Dietitians provide nutritional analysis and offer necessary adjustments to ensure and maintain our patient’s optimum health.
Volunteers are sent out to socialize and keep our patient’s company. This might be simple visits and small healthy conversations with people who genuinely care enough to help out. All volunteers are properly screened and chosen ensuring safety of all our patients.
